When creating a video marketing strategy you want to use the format that feels most comfortable to you.
I'm going to share with you three different formats you can use.
One format is for you to be on camera. This is one of the best ways to virtually meet your potential clients/customers. It’s also one of the best ways for them to get to know who you are and what it might be like to work with you.
You can talk passionately about topics as you look directly into the camera. It's as if you are having a one on one conversation.
You could also be on camera with someone else. The two of you could be talking about your products or services. You could share one of your favorite things about the product and the other person could do the same.
You could also interview someone on camera. This is also a great way for you to build your expert status in your niche.
The next type of format is screencasting. Screen capture is a great way to do videos when you want to teach someone or share some type of information.
You might sell a piece of software with a screencast while selling the consulting for that software with a whiteboard presentation.
It also allows you to clearly illustrate concepts and techniques in real time.
Here’s a tip: Don’t use screencasts unless you really have something to show.
Next is Power Point Presentations
If you already know PowerPoint, then one of the easiest ways to create a presentation is to simply turn your PowerPoint presentation into a video. You can create some great looking presentations using this method.
Show creativity by using images in your slides. Make sure the images go along with the point you are trying to make.
The important thing is to find the format that feels the most comfortable for you.
Once you get comfortable with one format it will be easier for you to transition to the other types.
Start thinking about what you want to tell your audience and then write it down
Decide whether it would be best to share the information as a face to face video or Power Point or Screencasting.
Years ago I saw someone who was using Power Point but they were also on screen.
I thought that was such a great idea because you aren’t filling up the whole screen with you as the focus, just a portion.
The video courses that I create have me on the screen at the same time because I feel it’s more engaging to teach in that manner.
My course on video will show you how to do this and so much more! You owe it to yourself to click the image and check it out:)
