Whether you have a business or are starting a business utilizing autorepsonders is one of the first systems you should put into place. It will save you so much time and money and I'll share why.
Not long ago I was talking to a Dermatologist who wanted to set up her free report. I worked with her on the project so that she could start building a list from those who visited her website. Although she has been in business over 10 years, setting up an autoresponder was new to her.
I know it can seem like an overwhelming process when you've never done it before but trust me after the first couple of times it gets easier.
Hopefully this infographic I've put together will help you:)
There have been times when I subscribed to someone's list and they mailed me twice a day. Each time they did so it wasn't to give me some great tip or helpful information. It was to sell some kind of product. Those are the people you wind up unsubscribing from.
My newsletters comes out once a week unless there is something extra special I need to share.
That brings us to the point of consistency. Your subscribers should be looking for your emails on a certain day. Don't disappoint them! This means you need to schedule time to create your emails so they can go out on time.
Keep in mind your emails need to be relevant and valuable to your subscribers.
For example my blog is all about marketing your business on multiple platforms. Would it make sense for me to offer tips on pressure washers or golf equipment? No. You'd wonder what in the world that has to do with your marketing your business.
Most email service providers have videos to help you set things up properly.
I have put together a comparison sheet for several of the popular email service providers.
