When it comes to books on starting a business there's no limit to what you can find. The problem is finding the RIGHT ones. The ones that will show you what you need to know.
When I wrote my book: Sexy, Savvy and Successful: A Woman't Guide On How To Start A Business, Gain Financial Freedom and Buy More Shoes! I did so to empower other women to start their own business. It's a book sharing the basics of what you need to do to start a service based business.
If you are just starting a business or thinking of starting one you need to exercise caution because there are many people who will tell you that you can get started earning $1,000.00 a day even without a website, list etc.
The number one thing I've found being in business almost 30 years is that business success does not happen overnight. You don't wake up one morning, find the magic bullet and viola you are on the road to easy street.
You will find many examples of people who worked for years to get the real success they were looking for.
On the today show I saw an interview with Ed Burns. His story is pretty amazing. He did all kinds of things to create his film on a budget.
Take a look at this video:
It was so interesting to hear Matt Lauer say the book is like a how to text book and If you are young, hungry and creative you will love it.
I know he said "young" but I think anyone at any age can accomplish what they want.
Would I read the book:Independent Ed? Sure! Once I do I'll let you know what I found interesting about it.
What valuable business books have your read?
