Email: 18 Statistics you need to know

Are you using email as part of your marketing strategy?  It always surprises me when I am at networking events and business owners mention that they don't even have a lead capture system in place.  Being able to reach out to your ideal customers should be one of your top priorities.

The problem today is that business owners don't know how to effectively use email marketing in their business.

When I gave a presentation on making your website a lead generating machine to a woman's group I mentioned that when sending emails it's not all about "selling".  It's about providing about 80% information and then perhaps 20% offering a product or service.  

That being said you don't have to offer anything at all.  Your email could be pure information that your list could use and find value in.

The important thing to keep in mind is that you want to be reaching out to your email list and building the know, like and trust factor.  If you constantly bombard them will "buy my product" they will quickly leave.

Great minds think alike, but then I'm not surprised (LOL).
I just wrote a blog post today about building relationships with newsletters and it mentioned the importance of delivering value to your readers.

Whether email messages, newsletters, web sites or brochures - marketing is about building relationships. As you said, developing the KLT Factor (know, like & trust) is very important before a prospect is ready to purchase from you.

Toni, I'm visiting from the UBC. Thank you for a professionally written and helpful post about how I interface with the market. I need to add a capture page for sure. I have so many products. I'm dithering over which to use as a Free Report--feels silly at this moment. I'm subscribing!
