When you start an email campaign your number one goal is to have people open it! Once they do what will they find? Will it inform them? Is it worth their reading? Will they know who you are?
In the past I produced a video related to the topic of email signatures because I have received emails numerous times with a name and nothing else. I don't remember who the person is or where they are from. I have to admit I almost feel like they are trying to hide something by not coming out and giving me their website or other information. Those are the emails I unsubscribe from. So, here are the 5 key things your email signature should have:
1) Your name
2) Who you are. In other words are you a business coach, consultant etc?
3) Website address
4) Phone number
5) Social media links
If you are in business then you should want those elements in your emails so people can connect with you. You would also want to give them opportunity to connect with you on social media so include those links in your emails. You can even end your emails by saying, " connect with me on social media via the the social icons.
More than ever people want to do business with those they know like and trust. Start building that connection with them in your emails and your email newsletters.
